Junior Cup

• Competition - singles medal play or match play off scratch
• Team - 5 members + 2 reserves

Handicaps:

Handicaps - not less than 5 in the preceding year (4.5 or above)

 

Jimmy Bruen Shield

• Competition runs over 2 days at a selected venue with approx 12 teams participating.
• A team consists of 5 pairs, with 2 additional substitute pairs allowed.
• Saturday is Foursomes strokes, i.e. 2 players, alternate shots, strokes.
• The 4 best scores from 5 are compiled and that is your team score.
• The 4 teams with the lowest scores qualify for the semi finals the next day.
• Semi finals and final are Foursomes Matchplay.
• Substitute pairs can be used for semi finals and finals.          

Handicaps:

The handicaps used for calculation are your lowest handicap in the previous year (Minimum 6). Minimum combined handicap of pair is 17, i.e. 8&9 or 7&10 etc.

 

Pierce Purcell Shield

• Competition runs over 2 days at a selected venue with approx 12 teams participating.
• A team consists of 5 pairs, with 2 additional substitute pairs allowed.
• Saturday is Foursomes strokes, i.e. 2 players, alternate shots, strokes.
• The 4 best scores from 5 are compiled and that is your team score.
• The 4 teams with the lowest scores qualify for the semi finals the next day.
• Semi finals and final are Foursomes Matchplay.
• Substitute pairs can be used for semi finals and finals.

Handicaps:

The handicaps used for calculation are your lowest handicap in the previous year (Minimum 12). Minimum combined handicap of pair is 27, i.e. 13&14 or 12&15 etc.

 

Leinster Fourball Trophy

• Competition is played on a home / away basis with a total of 5 matches.
• The Competition played as a Fourball.
• Fourball is a match pitting two teams of two players against each other using better-ball scoring. All four players play their own ball throughout and at the end of each hole the low score between the two partners on each team is that team's score.

Handicaps:

Minimum combined handicap of pair is 40 and the lowest individual handicap is 18. The Competition is only open to players older than 35 years.
 

Barton Cup

• Competition - foursomes match play off scratch
• Team - 10 members (5 pairs) + 2 pairs of reserves

Handicaps:

Handicaps - combined handicap of any pair not less than 14 (members to have returned a minimum of 4 cards in qualifying competitions)
 

Irish Mixed Foursomes

• Competition - foursomes medal play or foursomes match play off scratch
• Team - 5 ladies & 5 men
• Age - 18 or over on 1^st January 2013

Handicaps:

Handicaps - combined handicap of any pair not less than 19.
